Man who shot into traffic in Hillsboro killed by police | Crime

Here's where shots were fired and a police chase started in Hillsboro today, at the intersection of Southeast 10th Avenue and Oak Street.

Shots were fired into traffic at 1:30 p.m. today. Some are saying it was a road-rage-induced shooting.

At least six shots were fired at the intersection, according to KATU's coverage. One person in a car at that intersection has been LifeFlighted for help with a gun shot wound.

Southeast 10th Avenue in Hillsboro remains closed between Southeast Oak and Walnut streets as of late Saturday afternoon.

KATU reports that the alleged shooter was killed by officers after a 4-mile chase into Cornelius. (Follow the shooter's reported trail.)
